We are thrilled to share an exciting project update! TP Construction is proud to announce our successful completion as the Design & Build Contractor for the St. Giles Hotel in Feltham, Heathrow. This high-profile undertaking allowed us to leverage our expertise in comprehensive cladding remediation, delivering a safer, more energy-efficient, and visually appealing building in a bustling location.
A Critical Upgrade for a Landmark Hotel
The St. Giles Hotel, a significant commercial property, required a vital upgrade to its external envelope. Our primary objective was to address a critical safety concern: the presence of fire-hazardous insulation. As the Design & Build Contractor, we took full responsibility for orchestrating the entire process, from initial planning and design adjustments to the meticulous execution on site.
Our Solution: Superior Insulation and Modern Finish
Our team meticulously carried out the full removal of the existing fire-hazardous insulation. This was a complex task, requiring careful planning and execution to ensure the safety of both our crew and the hotel’s occupants. Following the removal, we installed state-of-the-art Rockwool dual density insulation. This material is renowned for its exceptional fire resistance and thermal performance, providing a robust and safe solution for the building.
Beyond the insulation, we implemented a new, high-performance facing system using SPS Envirowall. This award-winning insulation system is highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of building types, from low- to high-rise, and adaptable for both masonry and framed construction. The choice of SPS Envirowall was strategic, as it is ideal for significantly improving EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) ratings during refurbishments, contributing to a more sustainable and cost-effective operation for the hotel owners.
The decorative finishes applied as part of the new system have given the hotel a much-desired modern aesthetic upgrade, revitalising its appearance and ensuring it stands out in the busy Heathrow landscape.

A project of this scale, especially on an occupied commercial building, demanded exceptional stakeholder management. Our role as Design & Build Contractor meant we were at the forefront of managing relationships with architects, owners, and local communities. We ensured continuous communication, addressed concerns proactively, and implemented strict protocols to minimise disruption, allowing the hotel to maintain its operations throughout the refurbishment.
